M2 junctions 3 Chatham to 5 Stockbury, Kent: resurfacing
Work to maintain journeys by resurfacing sections of the carriageway on the M2 between junction 3 (Chatham) and junction 5 (Stockbury) will continue this week until the middle of December.
The following closures will be in place overnight, between 9pm and 5am:
- Monday 30 November: coastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 and the junction 4 entry and exit slip roads
- Tuesday 1 December: coastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 and the junction 4 entry and exit slip roads
- Wednesday 2 December: coastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 and the junction 4 entry and exit slip roads
- Thursday 3 December: junction 4 London-bound exit slip road A clearly signed diversion will be in place via junction 3 and return on the coastbound carriageway.
- Friday 4 December: coastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 and the junction 4 entry and exit slip roads
- Saturday 5 December: coastbound carriageway between junctions 3 and 4 and the junction 4 entry and exit slip roads
- Sunday 6 December: London-bound carriageway between junctions 5 and 4
Clearly signed diversions will be in place via the A249, M20 and A229.
M2 junctions 5 Stockbury to 6 Faversham, Kent: joint and bearing replacement
Work to maintain journeys by undertaking bridge joint and bearing replacement on the M2 between junctions 5 (Stockbury) and 6 (Faversham) will continue this week. The M2 will be closed in both directions overnight, between 9pm and 6am, from Thursday 3 December for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via A251, M20 and the A249.
In addition, there will be a lane closure on the coastbound entry slip road overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 30 November for 3 nights.
M20 junctions 8 Maidstone to 9 Ashford, Kent: carriageway investigation
Work to maintain journeys by undertaking carriageway investigations on the M20 between junctions 8 and 9 will continue this week. There will be lane closures on the coastbound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 30 November for 3 nights.
M20 junction 10, Ashford, Kent: carriageway investigation
Work to maintain journeys by undertaking carriageway investigations on the M20 at junction 10 will start this week. There will be a lane closure on the coastbound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 30 November for 3 nights. In addition, the exit and entry slip roads on the coastbound carriageway will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Thursday 3 December for 2 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the London-bound carriageway.
A2 Canterbury to Dover, Kent: road marking renewal
Work to improve safety by renewing the road markings will continue this week. The carriageway will be closed in both directions between Barham and Whitfield overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 30 November for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A256 and A299. Work is due to be complete by late December.
A2070 Hamstreet, Kent: carriageway resurfacing
Work to improve journeys on the A2070 near Hamstreet will continue this week. A lane closure will be in place between Brenzett Roundabout and the A2042 with traffic escorted past the work site in a convoy at 10mph overnight, between 8pm and 6am from Monday 30 November for 5 nights.
In addition, access to and from the A2070 from Ashford Road will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 30 November for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Ashford Road and the A2070.
A21 Barnetts Wood, Tonbridge, Kent: carriageway survey
Work to maintain journeys by carrying out carriageway survey at Barnetts Wood will start this week. Lane closures will be in place between Phillpots Lane and Medway Viaduct overnight, between 8pm and 6am, on Saturday 5 December. In addition, there will be a lane closure on the London-bound carriageway overnight, between 8pm and 6am on Sunday 6 December.
A21 Tonbridge to Pembury, Kent: major improvement
Work to improve journeys on the A21 between Tonbridge and Pembury will continue this week.
- The London-bound carriageway will be closed between the Pembury exit slip road and Vauxhall interchange overnight, between 8pm and 6am, from Monday 30 November for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A228 and the A26.
- Longfield Road will be closed from Knights Park to Longfield Roundabout, overnight between 8pm and 6am from Monday 30 November for 5 nights. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via Dowding Way, Lamberts Road, Liptraps Lane, Sandhurst Road and the A264.
- Trafffic lights will be in place along the coastbound carriageway, overnight between 8pm and 6am from Monday 30 November for 5 nights,
- The A21 junction with Half Moon Lane will be closed overnight, between 8pm and 6am from Monday 30 November for two nights. Access will be maintained via Pembury Hall Road.
