The window for applying to the Civil Service Fast Stream’s corporate schemes has now closed. The Analytical schemes will reopen for a second round of applications early next year.

However, our diversity internship programmes are still open for applications.

The Early Diversity Internship Programme (EDIP) is a one-week spring placement programme for first year undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds. It’s your chance to gain a week’s insight into the world of the Civil Service, giving you the opportunity to shadow a current Fast Streamer. You will also attend a series of stimulating corporate networking and social events, as well as an assessment survival workshop, which will tell you all you need to know about applying for graduate vacancies It also provides a good foundation for applying to our Summer Diversity Internship Programme.

The Summer Diversity Internship Programme (SDIP) is an award-winning, paid internship scheme which provides penultimate and final year university students with a six to nine-week placement in a government department. If successful in your application, you will have the chance to be involved with stretching and challenging project-related work.

Both schemes were designed to give you an insight into the broad range of opportunities available to Fast Streamers, as well as the Civil Service in general. If you participate in either programme, it is hoped that by the end of your time with us you will feel confident in applying to the Fast Stream.
