Highways England has appointed Vanessa Howlison as Chief Financial Officer.

She has a strong track record in government finance and joins from the Department for Transport where she has been Group Finance Director since 2013.

She was previously at the Department of Energy and Climate Change and before that at OfSTED. Vanessa will join Highways England on 20 June.
