Mr Ellwood said:

The bomb attacks in Saudi Arabia, including in its holy city of Medina during Ramadan, show the contempt terrorists have for the true and peaceful nature of Islam. My thoughts go out to the families and friends of the victims.

The UK stands shoulder to shoulder with the people of Saudi Arabia in the fight against global extremism. There is never a justification for such heinous actions.
