Around 70 insolvency practitioners, debt advisers, creditor representatives, regulators and others joined senior staff from the Insolvency Service to hear what we are working on, ask questions and share feedback.

Sarah Albon opens Insolvency Live!

Our chief executive Sarah Albon opened the event reviewing the past year and looked ahead to 2016/17 – including the introduction of the new insolvency rules, changes to Official Receiver fees and lessons learned from recent high profile insolvencies. Participants then divided into workshop sessions to discuss:

• moving insolvency online
• reforming our insolvency regime
• improving insolvency outcomes

An outlook for the economy and insolvency

Our statistician, John Perrett, and economist, David Miller, reviewed economic trends and their link to personal and corporate insolvencies.
