News story: New core competencies

This item was filled under Housing

New core competencies are now provided by Regulatory Delivery on the Guidance for Regulators – Information Point (GRIP) portal website. They are concise, principles-based, and broadly applicable both to regulators and people training as regulators, irrespective of whether they are working in the public or private sector.

One purpose of the core competencies is to inform the self-assessment process on the Regulators’ Development Needs Analysis (RDNA) tool – an interactive website that enables regulators to identify and prioritise their development needs – by providing a general framework for consideration by officers and their managers, both with regard to the production of personal development plans and discussions during annual development reviews.
