On 22 August 2017, the Rt Hon Sajid Javip MP, the UK’s Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government presented the Chevening Scholarships to 3 outstanding recipients.

This year’s Chevening Scholars are Mr. Fairoz Ahmad, who will be studying for a Masters in Public Policy at The University of Oxford; Mr Bryan Choong, who will be studying for a Masters in Public Health at the University of Edinburgh; and Ms Cheo Pei Rong, who will be studying for a MPhil in Conservation Leadership at the University of Cambridge.

The annual Chevening Scholarship Award presentation celebrates the awarding of new Chevening Scholarships to Singaporeans to study Masters level degree courses anywhere they wish in the UK. Chevening Scholarships are awarded to those who have demonstrated they are, or can be, leaders in their particular field of interest.
