Serious concerns over HMRC’s workload

MPs have questioned whether HMRC can cope with the joint challenges of its massive transformation agenda and the demands imposed by developments such as Brexit.

The House of Commons’ Public Accounts Committee (PAC) report into the Revenue’s performance highlights the workload the department is facing, in particular that involved in its 15 transformation programmes forming the largest such project in Europe (see here).
