Professor Gilligan is Head of the School of Biological Science at the University of Cambridge and part of the senior management team in the University. He is also Professor of Mathematical Biology in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Cambridge, and a Fellow of King’s College, Cambridge. His principal research interests are in the fields of epidemiology, ecology and mathematical biology.
